We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, and golf-related data (scores, handicaps, league memberships). When using Savvy Caddy, we collect GPS location data solely to provide distance calculations during active rounds. We do not track your location outside of active rounds.
We use your information to: operate and improve the Service, calculate handicaps and leaderboards, provide GPS distances and AI caddy recommendations, process payments, send league communications, and provide customer support.
We do not sell your personal information. Your golf scores and league data are visible to other members of your leagues. We share data with: payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google) for billing, cloud infrastructure providers for hosting, and AI providers (OpenAI) for AI-powered features when enabled. All third parties are bound by data processing agreements.
Savvy Caddy uses your device's GPS to calculate distances to greens, hazards, and other course features. Location data is collected only while you have an active round in progress. We do not track your location in the background or when the app is not in use. Location data is used to improve distance accuracy and AI recommendations.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@savvygolfleague.com. League data (scores, events) may be retained in anonymized form for league history purposes.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, and secure authentication (JWT). Payment information is handled entirely by our payment processors and is never stored on our servers.
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are used in aggregate to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.
You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your data, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@savvygolfleague.com.
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
